When I dug this out of my bookshelf I was unaware that it was the 1977 version. Imagine my surprise when I started reading about TTY and other relics gone by.
It does have an interesting historical content. I enjoyed reading about how Deaf people lived way back then. Then I became glad I live now where much technical advances have been made.
Much of this book is out of date so I don’t recommend it expect if you want to see what life was like for Deaf people in the 70’s. I checked and there is a 2011 version. I think I will get that book next. This was a read a thon book so it was quick to get through.
