What I am Reading February 19 2018

Hi, my name is Hillary Nicole Roberts, and I am an audiobook junkie.  Yeah, all 4 of the books you see below were audiobooks. I will come back around to print one day.  I was feeling excellent about my four books in a week till I saw some of y’all blowing up the charts with your audiobook. Mom then explained that a lot of people could listen to an audiobook and work on an excel spreadsheet. Not I. I mean I CAN clean and other stuff with it. I can do one mental thing (audiobook) and one physical thing (cleaning, walking, shopping, etc.) but NOT two mental things.  Oh well, at least I cant understand audiobooks!

I bit the bullet and got me a free trial of the Audible Romance Package. I have been listening to  When Dimple Met Rishi ALLLL day yesterday. That WAS  great book! I am still looking to see what all is included in the package. So far I love it but will write up a real review of it soon!

Last week I read:

Better Than Before-(Review coming Soon) I am interested in making a gym a habit, and I forgot most of everything in this book. I listened to this on audio, and I was surprised just HOW much I had forgotten. Now that I have read it again I feel better able to put it to use to make my gym and healthy eating habits stick

Entrepreneurial You- ( Review here)This was a mastermind book club pick. Gave me a  few ideas on how to expand my business.

Turtles All the Way Dow– (Review Here) it is a John Green, of course, I had to read it!

Skinny Bitch- (Review coming soon) Well my body has decided once again that it doesn’t want to eat meats. I mean the very thought of it is just …ewwww so I was rereading this thinking it had some diet tips. It did not.

I am glad that you are enjoying audiobooks. I don’t. Of course, I don’t do many physical things that need an accompaniment. When I’m sitting on the couch, a book in front of my eyes is all I need to be satisfied. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I was listening to an audiobook this afternoon while I was marking my students’ papers. It’s a little challenging and my mind has a tendency to block out the audio after a while but as long as I’m mindful of it, I’m fine. I’m a bit hesitant to spend on Audible subscription. I’ve already used up the free trial and it’s good, just that I need to save up my money for other stuff. Anyway, happy reading and listening! 🙂

yeah, audible can get pricey. I know there are Scribd and the library.

Four audiobooks in a week?! I listen to one audiobook a month (usually takes me 2-3 months depending on length). Mainly because I only listen to them when taking my dog for a walk or when I’m driving. So that’s awesome that you listened to all of these throughout the week.

lol.. Well to be fair I JUST received Choclear ear implants. I was stone deaf before that so it still in the audiobook honeymoon stage.

I use my library for audiobooks, or I buy them through iTunes. My post this week.

  5. I have a hard time paying attention to audiobooks, so I could never work and listen to one. It looks like you listened to some interesting books, though.
