You Are a Badass at Making Money will launch you past the fears and stumbling blocks that have kept financial success beyond your reach. Drawing on her own transformation--over just a few years--from a woman living in a converted garage with tumbleweeds blowing through her bank account to a woman who travels the world in style, Jen Sincero channels the inimitable sass and practicality that made You Are a Badass an indomitable bestseller. She combines hilarious personal essays with bite-size, aha concepts that unlock earning potential and get real results.   Learn to:

   * Uncover what's holding you back from making money    * Give your doubts, fears, and excuses the heave-ho    * Relate to money in a new (and lucrative) way    * Shake up the cocktail of creation    * Tap into your natural ability to grow rich    * Shape your reality--stop playing victim to circumstance    * Get as wealthy as you wanna be

"This book truly crystallizes the concept that financial abundance is an inside job--in that it all begins with your mindset--and Sincero gets serious (in the funniest ways possible) about helping you identify your particular limiting beliefs surrounding money." --PopSugar

This was a book that my mastermind read way back in October, but I was way too busy then to read it. I feel as if I need to change my wealth mindset and to get me all fired up for next year. I feel as in I am in a slump with my writing and business. I loved the book You Are A Badass and thought I would give this book a shot.

What I liked

I loved her snarky sense of humor. Jen Sincero read her book on audio and her personality shined through. I read You are a Badass in print and while her personality shined through in writing, you can get a feel for her in audio.

I was right in that I did not have a wealth mindset. I grew up in central Appalachia and the people there could make a million dollars, and they would still claim poverty. I am the same way, so I cant judge. I have read Get Rich Lucky Bitch, and while that book was just ok, You are a badass at making money spoke to me.  I need all the wealth training I can get yo!

What I did not like

It is the same as any other mindset book. There is nothing I haven’t heard/read before in this book. It was a little..repetitive. I am getting burned out on self-help books.  Feel that if maybe I was in a different mood then I would have appreciated it more. Ah well…

It was sooo cheesy at some points. Like repeat a mantra every day and meditate and all of that good stuff. I mean I KNOW I should be grateful that I am so blessed but still. I kind of wish that she would dial down the cheese factor a bit in some places.

This is an excellent book if you are looking to change your mindset about money. That is what this is a mind-set book. I know intellectually what to do but getting myself the BELIEVE I can be wealthy is a whole nother story. I am going to keep doing it though. I figure more so or later it will stick and that I too can be a wealth magnet. It has some real nuggets of gold in this book that make this one worth buying for your home library.

Mark Sisson—author of the mega-bestseller The Primal Blueprint—unveils his groundbreaking ketogenic diet plan that resets your metabolism in 21 days so you can burn fat forever.

Mounting scientific research is confirming that eating a ketogenic diet could represent one of the greatest nutritional breakthroughs of our time—and that it might be the healthiest and most effective weight loss strategy ever. Going “keto” by eating high fat, low-to-moderate protein and low-carb foods enables you to break free from the disastrous effects of carbohydrate dependency by resetting your metabolism and promoting metabolic flexibility—where your body learns to burns fat instead of sugar for energy, even when you go off plan.  Unlike many other ketogenic programs that require challenging restrictions and deprivation or offer misinformation, Mark Sisson, bestselling author of The Primal Blueprint and publisher of the #1 paleo blog, presents a unique two-step, scientifically validated approach for going keto the right way.  He first reveals the real secret to rapid and sustained weight loss, which is in becoming "fat-adapted" before entering full nutritional ketosis. This process allows your body to learn to burn fat more efficiently, resulting in increased and sustained weight loss over the long-term.  It takes as little as 21-days to reprogram your metabolism to burn fat for fuel, by ditching processed grains, sugars, and refined vegetable oils in favor of nutrient-dense, high fat, primal/paleo foods--and you'll see immediate results. Next, you’ll fine-tune with Intermittent Fasting and then foray into full ketogenic eating for a further weight loss boost and improved health.

With The Keto Reset Diet, you can eat to total satisfaction by enjoying rich, high-satiety foods, and even weather occasional slip-ups. You’ll use keto as a lifelong tool to stay trim, healthy, energetic, and free from the disastrous health conditions caused by the typical American diet. With step-by-step guidance, daily meal plans and a recipe section with over 100 delicious keto-friendly recipes, this is the definitive guide to help the keto-beginner or the experienced health enthusiast understand the what, why, and how to succeed with ketogenic eating.

My first audiobook review! How does one review an audiobook? I have no idea, but I will try.

As many of you know I was paleo a couple of years back for a year then fell off the bandwagon. I have restarted it this year as it is the best diet that I have tried and I have tried them all in the last couple years. My depression and anxiety go away, and I lose weight normally among many other health benefits. My body hates carbs, so I have come to terms with that, and I know this time I am on it for life.

I was interested in keto cause it is a hot topic in the paleo community as of late. I wanted an in-depth view of it which I got from this book. I also needed to practice my hearing skills as I have an audiology appointment coming up Dec 15, 2017, and I want to beat my 80 percent I got last time. SO Not wanting to waste an audible credit on a book I may or may not understand I headed over to Scribd and started listening to The Keto Reset Diet.

Imagine my shock when I could understand every word. Yes, I had it on slo-mo sound but still. It was like my brain finally comprehended the words, and I could understand it with no problem.  I almost cried for joy.

I got a lot of information on keto in this book. I had always thought you could drop to 50 grams of carbs and no suffer any ill effects. This is not the case. There are steps you need to take before actually attempting ketosis. Like getting your shit together basically. Making sure you are getting enough sleep, giving up sugar and refined carbs and other things. This surprised me as I had never thought of that before. I have started sleeping and working out on a schedule and no sugar and all of that. I hope this will be easier in Jan 2018 after I make an effort to prepare than it was last time I tried going ultra low carb. I am back to two hour long workouts so I may have to stay at 50 grams of carbs. It said if you are not active you can drop down to 20 grams. Ohh and you need to drop down to 150 grams FIRST for a while at the same time you are getting your shit together before going all the way down to 20 or 50 grams.

It also stressed the importance of learning to deal with stress and even gave some helpful advice such as mediation. I think this is where a lot of programs go wrong they fail to take into account that when people get stressed they want carbs and there needs to be another way of dealing with stress in place.

True this tells about people who want to go hardcore keto, but I feel almost anyone can get some advice out of this book.

I LOVED this book. It was easy to understand, and it was packed with information.
